PROJECT AEROGEL
OK, you got me it was indeed an APRIL FOOLS. BUT the joke is that we are the fools and really are that crazy to have created this in real life. I've been experimenting for months to make this pedal a reality, I've tried laser annealing, thermal anodising and electro anodising. The end result is that we decided to make our cool idea a reality. The first ever Titanium guitar pedal.
On top of the cool enclosure we also decided to do something I said I wouldn't do.... we've decided to make our preferred version of the green screamer circuit. The Tubescreamer is a venerable circuit but I have my preferences so the circuit we've created matches those preferences.
P.S This listing is for a real pedal with a full titanium enclosure.. we can only make 70 and that will be that. All of them will look slightly different owing to thhe vagaries involved in the anodisation process, but that makes each one unique.
These are being built to order so the lead time to receive these will be UP TO 6 weeks (hopefully less).
As part of the purchase we will be donating 10% of the profits for AEROGEL to one or more Cancer Charities TBC.
TECH STUFF
Project Aerogel is our take on the classic green overdrive. A low to mid gain overdrive designed to accentuate your mids whilst delivering the sweetest on the edge to crunch tones you have ever heard. Aside from achieving fantastic sonic credentials AEROGEL is built like a tank with physical features such as recessed knobs and top mounted jacks. Robust build does not have to come at the sacrifice of looks, the AEROGEL is the first fully titanium pedal made for guitarists, it uses uses a combination of a beautiful titanium centre that is laser annealed with a section of thermal anodising too. The base is anodised and then laser annealed providing a beautiful individual finish for our tough baseplate.
Internally the premium sound is enhanced through the use of premium components all wrapped in a beautiful custom engineered TITANIUM enclosure.
